Career Advice & Placement

College arranges open days for career advice and also help students attend career fairs in London. The student welfare officer provide helpful advice to students on their career prospects and encourage them to apply for suitable jobs.

All Pearson BTEC programmes are vocational. The two HND that college delivers are also vocational and recommends vocational training for the students to reinforce classroom learning.

At present the students enrolled for BTEC HND in Health & Social Care are required to undertake 200 hours of industrial experience in suitable care homes, clinics or hospitals. The college placement officer and the Programme Leader arrange placement of students at suitable care homes. There is a formal process to complete such as DBS check before a student can be placed in a care home.

The purpose of the placement are clearly agreed between the student, care home and the tutor in order to ensure achievement of the relevant learning outcomes.
